Mission:
This is a rare opportunity to join a high-growth Defence manufacturer at the point of standing up its UK production capability. As Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you will be one of the first engineers on the ground in Swindon and will be a driving force in shaping the processes, standards, and ways of working that every aircraft built in the UK will depend on.
You will own the technical definition and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes for the AR3, AR3 EVO, and AR5 platforms, from raw material through to flight-ready aircraft. A significant early focus will be supporting the structured transfer of established build processes from TEKEVER's Portugal site into the Swindon facility through capturing, validating, and translating existing knowledge into a controlled, UK-based production system.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
