Location: Prestwick, Ayrshire
Hours: 37 hours per week (half-day Friday)
Type: Full-time
Salary: From £44,348
Grade: E
Travel Required: Occasional
Work Location: Site-based (100%)

Prestwick Aerosystems is proud to continue Ayrshire’s long-standing aircraft manufacturing tradition. From our Prestwick site, we manufacture aircraft wing structures used on Airbus commercial aircraft worldwide. The Opportunity:
Accountable for the development and optimisation of manufacturing systems including robotic and numerically controlled programmes to satisfy automation equipment.
How you will contribute to the team:
- You will be responsible for providing manufacturing systems solutions through the application of industrial engineering.
- You will create and amend NC Programmes.
- You will support the creation of programming data through liaison with the Design and Manufacturing disciplines.
- You will be responsible for the creation and maintenance of programming simulation models.
- You will be responsible for manipulating 3D data to support manufacturing processes.
- You will provide technical guidance and training to the business to support efficient manufacturing systems programming.
- You will be responsible for the management of tools and cutters to support manufacturing operations.

About you:
- Experience of Manufacturing Systems Programming Techniques
- Conversant in 3D modelling techniques
- Have a good knowledge of the capabilities of a range of different PDM tools
- Knowledge of automated manufacturing systems and equipment
- HND level or equivalent experience in Manufacturing or Technology related discipline – desirable
- Excellent communication and inter-personal skills – interface with customers and suppliers.
- A good working knowledge of Microsoft Packages – Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Access
