With a renowned reputation for providing excellent service quality and reliability, and an unrivalled level of technical expertise. We are currently recruiting within the Marine Electronics Division for the following personnel:

SENIOR MARINE ELECTRONICS ENGINEER

Key Requirements:

  • Overseeing and undertaking the service, installation and testing of marine electronics, including radar, sonar, GPS, ECDIS, and internal communication systems.
  • Carrying out repairs and maintenance on a variety of different equipment both onshore and offshore.
  • Perform surveys and inspections on customers' ships, including radio surveys and VDR performance tests.
  • Ensure all electronic installations adhere to international maritime standards.
  • Guide engineers through complex diagnostic and installation procedures.
  • The ability to work on your own initiative and good communication skills are essential.
  • This position involves working outdoors and working at heights at times.

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Highly experienced in communication systems such as radar, gyro compass, VHF & MF/HF radio and GPS navigation systems.
  • A proven background within the marine sector, preferably within an electronics/electrical engineering environment.
  • A formal qualification in electronics e.g. HNC/HND level or NVQ3 is preferable.
  • Will require some weekend and out-of-hours work on an ad-hoc basis.
  • Must have the right to work in the UK.

This is a permanent, full-time role based in Aberdeen with frequent travelling in and around the local area as necessary and occasional travel both in the UK and overseas. A company vehicle will be provided to the successful applicant. Therefore, applicants must hold a current UK driving licence and valid passport.

An attractive remuneration package will be offered to the successful candidate. Assistance with relocation expenses may also be provided.
