Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of Senior Market Fundamental Analyst through September 14th at 11:59 p.m.
We are seeking a highly skilled and market-savvy analyst with deep expertise in the NGL, LPG, and petrochemical trading space to join our analytics team. This role focuses on developing forward-looking market views, building robust supply-demand models, and delivering actionable insights to support trading and strategic decisions across NGL, LPG, and petrochemical markets.
Responsibilities:

Market Expertise & Analysis
- Provide in-depth analysis of NGL, LPG, and petrochemical markets, including propane, butane, ethylene, propylene, and other key products for a 2–5 year time frame.
- Interpret price movements and market dynamics, incorporating macroeconomic events, geopolitical developments, and headline risks on a 2–5 year time frame.
- Monitor and assess market drivers and their impact on mid-term price trends.

Modeling & Forecasting
- Build and maintain supply-demand forecast models for NGL, LPG, and petrochemicals with a 2–5 year horizon for the global market with an Asia focus.
- Run scenario analyses to evaluate market outcomes under varying conditions (e.g., policy shifts, demand shocks, plant outages).
- Lead and provide monthly market updates for 2–5 years and collaborate with short-term CAs to provide market insights.
- Lead and provide ad-hoc market analysis for headline analysis.

- Communication & Reporting
- Write clear, concise, and insightful market reports tailored for traders and senior stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with trading desks to align analytics with commercial strategies.
- Present findings and recommendations in internal forums and strategy discussions.
Technical Skills:
- Strong proficiency in Excel for data analysis and visualization.
- Experience with Python for modeling, automation, and data manipulation is preferred.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
- Over 5 years of relevant experience in NGL/LPG/petrochemical trading, market analysis, or related roles.
- Proven track record of building market models and delivering strategic insights.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
- Strong communication and storytelling skills to translate complex data into actionable insights.
Relocation Options:
- Relocation is not offered for this role. Only local candidates will be considered.
- Expatriate assignments will not be considered.
