About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Market Risk Consultant with strong hands-on experience in Murex or PolyPath, combined with solid Python and Java programming skills.

This is a specialist role within a banking/financial-services environment, requiring strong knowledge of Market Risk, Fixed Income, and Structured Products. Experience with MBS, CMOs, and other securitized/structured fixed-income products will be highly valued.

  • Murex – Market Data
  • Murex – Risk Management
  • Murex or PolyPath
  • Java
  • Python
  • Strong Market Risk experience within banking/financial services
  • Strong understanding of Fixed Income products
  • Experience supporting risk systems, risk models, or valuation tools
  • Ability to work effectively with both technical and business teams
  • Fixed Income & Structured Products

Strong Knowledge of Fixed Income Products

  • Mortgage-Backed Securities (MBS)
  • Collateralized Mortgage Obligations (CMOs)
  • Securitised products
  • Structured fixed-income products
  • Other complex fixed-income instruments

Market Risk Experience

Candidates should ideally have experience with areas such as:

  • Market risk management
  • Risk modelling
  • Valuation and pricing tools
  • Risk sensitivities / Greeks
  • VaR
  • Stress testing
  • Scenario analysis
  • Market data and risk systems
  • Front Office / Risk / Finance collaboration

Experience

  • Ideally 10+ years' experience within banking or financial services
  • Experience working in large banking or regulated financial institutions is advantageous
  • Experience supporting Front Office, Risk, Finance, or Model teams is desirable
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Able to explain complex risk concepts clearly to technical and business stakeholders
