About us
Girlguiding Anglia is one of nine Girlguiding countries and regions in the UK. We’re made up of 12 different Girlguiding counties. We are dedicated to enabling girls and young women to develop their potential and make a difference in the world. We offer girls and young women a space where they can be themselves, have fun, build friendships, gain valuable life skills and make a positive difference in their communities.
About the role
We're looking for a senior marketing and communications officer to lead on marketing, communications and PR across the region, playing a central role in how we tell our story and connect with members, volunteers and the wider community.
You'll have line management responsibility for two marketing assistants and a PR and communications assistant, and will work closely with our retail, brand and communications manager to shape and deliver our marketing and communications strategy in line with our business plan and five year strategy.

What you'll be doing
- Leading on content creation for social media, website and recruitment campaigns
- Overseeing PR releases and key communications, including the county commissioner mailout and Signpost
- Using Google Analytics 4 to turn data into insights that inform strategy and demonstrate impact
- Managing and supporting your team's development, workload and training
- Producing professional, on brand materials using Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop, Sprout Social, Canva and email marketing platforms
- Building strong relationships with region lead volunteers, county commissioners, committees and colleagues across Girlguiding
- Representing marketing and communications at committee level, including through research and written reports
What we're looking for
- Experience of effective team management and working in a customer or member focused environment
- Strong communication, interpersonal and project management skills
- Confidence using design and social media tools, plus analytics to inform decision-making
- A practical understanding of diversity and inclusion at work
- Someone who's proactive, adaptable and genuinely motivated by the message that girls can do anything
