Job Description

Join POLITICO’s Events team in Europe to grow, engage and amplify audiences for POLITICO Live.

The Senior Marketing & Audience Manager is a hands-on, all-round event marketer responsible for delivering marketing and audience recruitment campaigns and leading event amplification across POLITICO’s European events portfolio.

We’re looking for someone with fresh ideas, energy and creativity — someone ready to challenge the traditional event marketing playbook, experiment with new approaches and find innovative ways to engage audiences before, during and after our events.

The ideal candidate combines strong events marketing experience with a broader marketing background, including social media, CRM and digital campaigns, and experience mentoring or managing others. They will understand who needs to be in the room across the French, British, Spanish and EU policy communities.

What You'll Do

  • Working with the Executive Director of Audience and Growth, lead the event audience team and deliver integrated marketing and audience recruitment campaigns.
  • Drive registrations and attendance while attracting the right audiences for each event.
  • Lead event amplification, finding creative ways to extend the reach and impact of our events before, during and after they happen.
  • Bring fresh ideas, test new approaches and challenge established ways of working.
  • Develop campaigns across email, CRM, social media, newsletters and other POLITICO channels.
  • Use CRM and event marketing tools to effectively segment, target and engage audiences.
  • Track performance and use data and insights to improve results.
  • Collaborate with Events, Marketing, Editorial and Commercial teams to maximize the reach of POLITICO Live.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Our 1,100+ publishing professionals across the world's key democratic capitals—Washington, Brussels, London, Paris, Berlin, Sacramento, and New York—form the world's premier politics and policy newsroom. We tell the story of how power really works by explaining who wields it and how they plan to exercise it, connecting dots others miss and delivering scoops from sources others don't even know exist.

Innovation has always been a core tenet of our story. At launch, we bet that depth would trump scale, that talent would trump traffic, and that politics would become central to modern life. In 2011, we made another bet and launched POLITICO Pro to help decision-makers understand the business of government, transforming both how they shape government action and the business of journalism itself.

These bets have made POLITICO the most successful digital news startup of its generation and the indispensable resource for leaders who shape the future. Today, we are a rarity in media: a growing, profitable, and sustainable news organization.
