Senior Business Development Coordinator

Position Overview

Responsible for working closely with the Business Development team to deliver marketing and business development initiatives across multiple international offices and a range of practice areas. The role also supports firm-wide marketing activity and takes ownership of projects from planning through to execution.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Marketing

  • Support Business Development Directors, Managers, Practice Group Leaders and Marketing teams in delivering a variety of business development and marketing initiatives.
  • Coordinate client-facing events, seminars and educational programmes, working closely with lawyers and internal stakeholders to ensure successful delivery.
  • Prepare and contribute to client pitches, proposals and formal tender responses (RFPs).
  • Conduct research into prospective clients, industries, markets and competitors using internal and external research tools.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity, providing insights to support strategic business development decisions.
  • Maintain and update practice area marketing materials, including rankings, experience statements, matter descriptions and other collateral.
  • Coordinate sponsorship opportunities and manage associated logistics and administration.
  • Draft, edit and maintain professional biographies and profile content.
  • Prepare and distribute internal and external communications, including marketing updates and client communications.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Contribute to wider firm-wide business development and marketing initiatives.
  • Support additional projects and responsibilities as required.

Experience & Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification preferred.

Experience

  • A minimum of four years' experience in business development or marketing within a professional services environment.

Skills & Knowledge

  • Excellent research and analytical skills.
  • Strong written communication and proofreading abilities.
  • Experience producing high-quality proposals, pitches and marketing collateral.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and online research tools.
