We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Marketing Consultant to join our Adviser Marketing Team at Royal London. The role holder will manage the development and delivery of market-leading campaigns and content that support the overall Brand and Marketing (B&M) strategy, with a particular focus on managing and delivering campaigns that support the acquisition of new Protection business.
You’ll be responsible for delivering consistently high-quality communications that engage, enthuse and inform our target audience. Leading cross-functional campaign teams, you’ll work with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of marketing activity. Through the analysis of data and insight, you’ll set campaign objectives, monitor activity and measure impact, adjusting as appropriate. You’ll report to the Marketing Manager and work closely with other relevant senior stakeholders across the business.
About the role
- Plan, develop and deliver compelling marketing campaigns that achieve meaningful impact, using the most effective channels and working with key stakeholders to agree plans.
- Ensure marketing activity supports the delivery of new business targets and other key strategic objectives, including building awareness of the Royal London brand.
- Day-to-day responsibility for managing and delivering major campaigns and initiatives including delivery planning, resource alignment, and budget responsibility.
- Set clear campaign objectives and measures that align with commercial targets.
- Use data and insights to continuously test, learn, and optimize marketing activity.
- Lead cross-functional teams to deliver marketing activity, working with stakeholders across the B&M function, other parts of the business, and external creative and media agencies.
- Development and delivery of supporting marketing collateral.
- Provide support and coaching to colleagues in the wider Adviser Marketing Team.

About you
- Experience of planning and delivering large integrated marketing campaigns, effectively managing budgets and risks.
- Excellent understanding of marketing communication tools and techniques, including paid media.
- Good knowledge of the life and pensions industry and understanding of B2B markets is desirable.
- Excellent communication, project, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong experience of marketing planning and development.
- Experience working in the financial services industry and understanding the legislative framework.
- Experience working in the Protection industry desired.
- Understanding of B2B/B2B2C markets.
- Strong understanding of how to apply brand and language guidelines.
