Salary: £32,000–£35,000 per annum
Contract: 12-month fixed-term maternity cover
Hours: Full-time
Location: Birmingham / hybrid working
Start date: November 2026

Help us tell the stories that change young lives.
Sport 4 Life UK is a leading youth employment charity, supporting young people to develop the skills, confidence and qualifications they need to find work and shape successful futures. Having recently celebrated our 20th anniversary, we're looking for an experienced and proactive Senior Marketing Coordinator to join us on a 12-month maternity cover contract.

This is a broad, hands-on role with real ownership. You'll coordinate marketing activity across the organisation, manage our digital channels and campaigns, bring our impact to life through compelling content and help strengthen the Sport 4 Life UK brand. You'll also play an important role in supporting our wider ambitions – from engaging more young people and growing our profile to supporting partnerships and income generation. These responsibilities reflect the breadth of the revised role across campaigns, digital content, performance and insight, income generation and organisation-wide marketing support.

What you'll be doing

You'll be responsible for:

  • Planning, coordinating and delivering integrated marketing campaigns across digital, print and communications.
  • Managing our marketing and communications calendar, ensuring activity is effectively planned across the organisation.
  • Leading our social media activity and creating engaging content, including copy, photography, video and case studies.
  • Managing email marketing, website content and other digital communications.
  • Acting as a key point of contact for marketing, advising colleagues on campaigns, communications and use of our brand.
  • Coordinating marketing requests from different teams and managing competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Using analytics and performance data to evaluate activity, produce reports and recommend improvements.
  • Supporting fundraising, business development and partnerships through effective marketing and communications.
  • Ensuring content involving young people is managed appropriately, including photography, video and case study consent.
  • Leading our relationship with our external marketing agency, including setting priorities, developing briefs and overseeing delivery.
  • Identifying opportunities to strengthen our brand, grow our audiences and continuously improve our marketing.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
