I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
You’ll work closely with colleagues across marketing and sales, helping ensure campaigns are commercially relevant, delivered on time, and consistent with the wider brand.
About You
You’ll bring previous experience from a Marketing Executive or similarly broad marketing position, along with the confidence to manage multiple projects and build relationships with internal teams and external partners.
You’ll be a strong writer and organiser with experience delivering campaigns, creating marketing collateral, and using CRM or email marketing platforms. Most importantly, you’ll be proactive, comfortable taking ownership, and able to bring ideas to a team that is keen to keep improving its marketing.
Experience within construction, building products, manufacturing, interiors, or another trade-focused sector would be useful, although it isn’t essential. A marketing qualification or equivalent experience and a full UK driving licence are required.
Why Apply?
This is an opportunity to develop a broad and commercially valuable marketing skillset rather than being limited to one channel. You’ll work across campaigns, content, customer engagement, events, and sales enablement, with genuine ownership and visibility across the business.
Alongside a potential salary of £38,000 – £42,000, depending on experience, the package includes a quarterly bonus opportunity.
