Contract: Fixed term, 12-month contract

Hours: Full time (35 hours per week)

Are you a creative, collaborative and experienced professional working within marketing (or related profession), with an interest in learning and education? We're looking for a Senior Marketing Executive within our Academic division to market textbooks and digital learning solutions across a variety of subject areas.

You'll report into the Global Marketing Manager, Higher Education, and will have the opportunity to make a real impact on the success of our products and services in an area of key focus for the company.

We are Cambridge University Press & Assessment, a world-leading academic publisher and assessment organisation and a proud part of the University of Cambridge.

About The Role

The role requires you to work closely with the Higher Education sales team, helping to contribute market expertise and coordinate marketing activities to increase adoptions of print and digital products globally.

You will take a global lead on key titles within specific subjects and develop marketing content, plans, and resources for use by sales colleagues. Close collaboration with colleagues and authors around the world will be a central part of this role.

You will take an active role in coordinating key project activity in specific areas of Higher Education marketing, and you will deputise for the Marketing Manager as required in key meetings and presentations.

This position has been classified as a hybrid role, requiring the selected candidate to typically spend 40-60% of their time collaborating and connecting face-to-face at their dedicated location. Aside from our hybrid principles, other flexible working requests will be considered from the first day of employment, including other work arrangements should you require adjustments due to a disability or long-term health condition.

About You

You will have experience in a marketing and/or customer solutions role, looking to take the next step in your career.

You should have a solid understanding of marketing principles and be capable of implementing targeted and measurable marketing campaigns, from the planning and creative stages through to launch and reporting.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
