The opportunity
This is a hands-on, commercially focused B2B marketing role with day-to-day responsibility for marketing activity supporting one of our core business areas.
Working within the overall direction set by the Head of Marketing and in close partnership with the Commercial team, you'll turn customer needs, sales priorities, product developments and market insight into high-quality marketing activity that supports growth.
We're looking for someone who understands that good B2B marketing doesn't stop when a lead is generated.
You'll be curious about the whole customer journey: how customers move from awareness and engagement through MQL, SQL, opportunity and conversion, and what Marketing can do at each stage to improve the quality and progression of those opportunities.
You'll also support new product introductions and launches, helping turn technically complex products and customer problems into clear propositions, campaigns and sales tools.
This is a role for someone who enjoys both thinking and doing: someone who can understand the commercial reason behind the activity, take ownership of their work and then make it happen to a high standard.
What you'll do
- Take day-to-day ownership of marketing activity for a core business area, working within the wider marketing and commercial strategy.
- Plan and deliver integrated B2B campaigns that generate and nurture high-quality leads.
- Understand Marketing's contribution to the customer journey from awareness through to opportunity and conversion, working closely with Commercial.
- Use CRM, campaign and funnel data to understand what is working, where opportunities are progressing or stalling, and where Marketing can have greater impact.
- Support new product introductions and launches in partnership with Product, Engineering and Commercial teams.
- Translate technical products, customer insight and pain points into clear propositions, messaging and useful sales-enablement content.
- Create strong customer-led content across email, digital, social, case studies, thought leadership and sales materials.
- Support targeted account-based marketing activity for priority customers, accounts and partners.
- Plan and deliver events and exhibitions with clear customer, lead-generation and commercial objectives.
- Use customer insight, market intelligence and campaign performance to continually improve activity.
- Use AI and automation appropriately, in line with our processes, to improve the speed, quality and effectiveness of marketing.
- Maintain high standards of CRM data, GDPR compliance, brand consistency and marketing quality.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Why you're a good match
You’ve got the grades and the economics background, and your bank internship is exactly the experience this scheme looks for. Apply soon — deadlines close within the month.
Experience fit
Your summer at the bank plus your econometrics coursework map directly to the day-one responsibilities on this scheme — client modelling, market briefings, and deal support.
Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
What success looks like
In this role, we would expect you to progressively:
- Deliver a clear, focused marketing plan for your business area that reflects customer needs and commercial priorities.
- Improve the quality and progression of marketing-generated leads and opportunities.
- Successfully support agreed product launches, with clear propositions, strong execution and useful sales enablement.
- Create content and campaigns that respond to genuine customer needs and pain points.
- Build a strong working rhythm with Commercial, Product and Customer Service, with clear communication and shared understanding of priorities.
- Become someone the team trusts to take a brief or problem, understand what really matters and deliver high-quality work.
What we're looking for
We're more interested in how you think and operate than in finding someone who has already done every element of the role.
You'll bring:
- Strong B2B marketing experience and evidence of delivering high-quality campaigns.
- A good understanding of the B2B customer journey and how Marketing supports progression through the sales funnel.
- A commercial mindset: you're interested in what happens after a lead is generated and want to understand Marketing's impact on pipeline and revenue.
- Strong execution skills across campaigns, content and copywriting.
- The ability to take ownership, organise your work and deliver reliably.
- Curiosity and a willingness to get underneath customer problems, products and commercial challenges.
- High standards: you care about producing work that is accurate, considered and ready to use.
- Confidence working cross-functionally and building productive relationships with colleagues outside Marketing.
- The ability to learn quickly, ask questions and bring solutions rather than just identifying problems.

Particularly valuable
You don't need to tick every box below. These are skills and experiences that would be useful in the role and can also be developed over time.
- Experience supporting new product introductions or product launches.
- Experience marketing physical, technical, engineered or manufactured products.
- Experience using CRM and funnel data to evaluate marketing performance.
- Account-based marketing or longer, multi-stakeholder B2B buying journeys.
- Manufacturing, construction/building products, architectural hardware, healthcare/medical devices, safety products or another technical B2B environment.
- PPC, SEO or digital campaign experience.
- International marketing experience.
- Experience using Odoo or another CRM/marketing automation platform.
What does success look like?
You'll start with the customer in mind, not the marketing channel.
You'll want to understand what problem we're solving, why it matters and what needs to happen for a customer to move forward.
You'll ask what happened to the lead, why an opportunity hasn't progressed and what Marketing can do to help.
You'll be comfortable getting into the detail of a technical product, understanding why it matters to customers and turning that into clear, compelling marketing.
You'll also know that good work rarely happens in isolation. You'll ask questions, listen to other perspectives and build strong relationships across the business.
Most importantly, you'll combine commercial curiosity with strong execution: understanding why we're doing something, then making it happen well.
