Rhumbl Group is running this search on behalf of an established international commodities trading group. The role is new to the London office and the organization is ready to move quickly for the right person.

The business

Our client trades, ships and distributes physical commodities into markets around the world. It is privately held, entrepreneurial and growing, with a family of brands sitting under one group. The seat is London-based and the work reaches across the group's key international trading hubs, so the brand has to travel and land in very different markets.

Marketing here is deliberately compact and centralised. There is no layer to hide behind, which means the person in this role is visible, trusted and close to the decisions.

The role

Reporting directly to the Group Marketing Head, this is a hands-on individual contributor role. You are the person who does the marketing: brand, content, digital, campaigns and events. You will work alongside the Marketing Head to shape and plan the strategy and then own the delivery of it.

It suits a mid-career marketer who wants ownership rather than management. The team is lean and the group is growing, so there is a genuine path here for someone who wants to build into more over time.

What you will be doing

Brand and content

  • Keep the group's brands applied properly and consistently, wherever and however they appear.
  • Write and produce content across channels: accurate, well written and on message.
  • Build the material the business runs on, from presentations and brochures to corporate and commercial collateral.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Digital and social

  • Take day-to-day ownership of the digital estate, including website content and online engagement.
  • Lead the push on social media. This is where the group wants to grow, so you will help shape the approach with the Marketing Director rather than work to a plan someone else wrote.

Campaigns, events and merchandise

  • Run campaigns from the first idea through to delivery and measurement.
  • Support conferences, exhibitions, sponsorships and corporate events.
  • Source and manage branded goods, apparel and merchandise, including stock and distribution.

Agencies and suppliers

  • Own the relationships with the agencies, designers, printers, photographers and other suppliers who handle the production work.

Communications

  • Draft press releases and corporate announcements, and keep track of media coverage.
  • Support internal communications and employee updates, keeping the message consistent across business units.

Insight, budget and reporting

  • Track competitor activity and what is moving in the market.
  • Report on how campaigns performed and use that to sharpen the next one.
  • Keep budgets, supplier costs and timelines honest.

What we are looking for

  • Strong grounding in marketing and communications, in a B2B environment. Purely consumer, retail or e-commerce backgrounds are unlikely to be the right fit here.
  • Campaigns you have built and delivered yourself, start to finish.
  • Strong digital skills across social platforms, website content, marketing automation and CRM tools.
  • A confident writer and editor with a serious eye for detail. Of everything on this list, that is the one the client cares about most.
  • Exposure to international or multi-brand marketing. The group operates globally and the brand has to work in every market it touches.
  • Agency grounding before moving in-house is welcome, though not a requirement.
