Reporting to:

Head of Marketing

The Two Brands and Why This Role is Interesting

We're growing two different backup businesses, with two different routes to market.

BackupVault protects the business-critical systems and data organisations depend on, from servers and virtual machines to platforms such as Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, Google Workspace and Salesforce. It has a sales-assisted customer journey, where marketing plays a key role in generating demand, supporting Sales and helping move prospects through the buying process.

BackupLABS is our own SaaS backup platform, protecting the cloud applications businesses rely on every day, including Trello, GitHub and GitLab. It operates with a product-led growth model, where marketing needs to drive acquisition, trial engagement, activation and conversion.

That means the two brands need different thinking, different messaging and different marketing approaches.

What You'd Focus On

Email & campaigns

  • Build and deliver email campaigns, nurture journeys and customer communications, supporting lead generation, engagement, conversion and retention.

Digital execution

  • Keep our digital marketing moving by updating website content and landing pages, supporting SEO activity and reporting on campaign performance.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

You'll work directly with our Head of Marketing across both brands, taking ownership of campaigns and activity from brief through to delivery and reporting.

You're Probably a Fit If

  • You're an experienced, hands-on B2B marketer who is comfortable taking a brief and running with it.
  • You've already delivered marketing activity independently and you're confident managing your own priorities from execution to reporting.
  • You're comfortable working remotely in a small team environment, managing your own time, communicating clearly and keeping momentum without lots of layers or process.
  • You're organised, dependable and proactive. We don't expect you to know everything, but we do need someone who takes ownership and can be relied upon to get things done.
  • You don't need to be an expert in backup or cybersecurity. What matters more is curiosity, good commercial instincts and the ability to turn technical subjects into clear, engaging marketing.
  • Experience in B2B technology or SaaS would be advantageous but isn't essential.

Required Skills & Experience

  • At least 3 years' hands-on B2B marketing experience
  • Experience independently delivering multi-channel marketing campaigns from brief through to execution
  • Strong copywriting and content creation skills across web, email and social
  • Hands-on experience building and delivering email campaigns and nurture programmes
  • Experience updating website content and landing pages using a CMS such as WordPress
  • Working knowledge of SEO and digital marketing best practice
  • Experience using CRM and marketing automation platforms
  • Practical experience using AI tools to support marketing research, content creation, campaign delivery and day-to-day workflows
  • Comfortable using marketing data and analytics to measure performance and improve activity
  • Comfortable creating simple visual and video content using tools such as Canva or similar
  • Highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities without close day-to-day supervision
  • Strong communication skills and experience working collaboratively with colleagues and external partners
