Senior Marketing Executive
Location: Okehampton
Salary: £35k
About the Company
We’re working with an established business with a strong presence across the South West, supporting customers across commercial, public sector, and consumer markets.
With a people-first culture and a real emphasis on understanding what matters to its customers, the business has built long-standing relationships across the communities and sectors it serves. Operating across two established brands, it offers a busy, varied marketing environment where communication needs to be relevant, timely, and genuinely useful to different audiences.
The Role
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Senior Marketing Executive who enjoys the pace and variety of a hands-on marketing role. You will be based in Okehampton but will be required to spend a couple of days at their north office bi-monthly.
You’ll have particular ownership of B2B communications and email marketing, creating and delivering frequent campaigns across a range of customer groups. From commercial businesses and public sector organizations to agricultural customers, you’ll need to understand different audiences and tailor communications accordingly.
While email will be a significant part of the role, you’ll also get involved in wider marketing activity across two brands, working alongside the wider marketing team and supporting activity across digital, content, PR, and sales communications.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Owning the delivery of email marketing campaigns across two established brands.
- Building, segmenting, and sending campaigns to different B2B customer audiences.
- Managing a busy campaign calendar and turning around communications quickly and accurately.
- Creating B2B communications including customer updates, targeted campaigns, sales collateral, and public sector/framework promotions.
- Supporting seasonal campaigns across commercial, agricultural, and consumer markets.
- Using customer data and segmentation to make communications increasingly relevant and targeted.
- Monitoring campaign performance, including open rates, click-through rates, and engagement.
- Using campaign insights to refine future targeting and improve results.
- Working closely with sales and marketing colleagues to ensure messaging is consistent and supports wider commercial priorities.
- Collaborating with colleagues across different locations to keep communications aligned.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What We’re Looking For
You’ll enjoy working in a marketing role where there’s always plenty happening. You’ll be organized enough to manage multiple campaigns at once, but comfortable adapting when priorities change or something needs to go out quickly.
You’ll also be a confident writer who understands that different audiences need different messages and be comfortable taking ownership rather than waiting to be told what to do next.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Around 2–4 years’ experience within a hands-on marketing role.
- Strong practical experience of email marketing, including building and sending campaigns.
- Previous B2B marketing experience.
- Experience using Mailchimp, HubSpot, Klaviyo, or another email marketing/automation platform.

- Confidence working with campaign data and using performance insights to improve future activity.
- Strong organization skills and the ability to manage a fast-moving campaign calendar.

- Work closely with both marketing and commercial teams, seeing the direct impact of your campaigns.
