We're proud to be partnering with a growing, family-owned British manufacturer to find a Senior Marketing Manager who can build and lead its marketing function.
This is a broad B2B role covering digital, brand, content and print, with the opportunity to create the marketing strategy, establish the resources needed to deliver it and recruit your own team.
Recruiter’s Thoughts
Harley is the recruiter managing this role and here’s why she thinks it could be a great opportunity for the right senior marketer:
"What I really like about this role is that they’re not asking someone to come in and follow an existing plan. They want this person to spend time understanding the business, decide what marketing needs to look like and then recruit their own team around it. It’ll suit a broad B2B marketer who likes being close to the business, rather than focusing on one channel, and who wants to build something properly." – Harley Urwin, Recruitment Partner.
The Role
As Senior Marketing Manager, you will take ownership of marketing across their international distributor network.
Your first few months will be focused on understanding the business, its customers, products, markets and commercial ambitions. From there, you will create a clear marketing plan and recommend the team, agency support and resources needed to deliver it.
Your role will include:
- Developing a marketing strategy that supports the company’s next stage of growth.
- Strengthening the brand’s positioning across domestic and international markets.
- Creating B2B campaigns that support lead generation, distributor engagement and sales growth.
- Overseeing activity across digital, website, SEO, paid advertising, email, content and print.
- Producing campaigns and materials that can be adapted across different markets and territories.
- Supporting product launches, exhibitions and new market opportunities.
- Recruiting and leading your own marketing team while managing relevant agencies and suppliers.
- Measuring performance and showing how marketing is contributing to leads, pipeline and revenue.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
This is not a role for someone who wants to focus exclusively on one marketing channel, you will need to be comfortable setting the direction, building the function and remaining involved in delivery.
About You
This role could suit an existing Senior Marketing Manager or Head of Marketing, as well as an experienced Marketing Manager ready to take on greater ownership.
You will ideally have:
- Significant experience in broad B2B marketing, likely developed over seven years.
- Experience across digital, brand, content and offline marketing rather than one specialist channel.
- The ability to create a strategy and build the team, processes and resources needed to deliver it.
- Strong commercial awareness and experience connecting marketing activity with business growth.
- Experience working with international markets, distributors, partners or export-led businesses.
- The confidence to work closely with senior leadership and influence wider business decisions.
B2B marketing experience is essential. Previous experience within hospitality, food and beverage, manufacturing or another export-led business would be useful, but it is not required.
The client is also looking for someone who can demonstrate sustained ownership in their previous roles and has stayed long enough to implement plans, build relationships and measure the results.
Culture fit will be just as important as experience. You will be collaborative, hands-on and energised by the opportunity to build a marketing function within a close-knit, office-based business.
Why Apply?
This is a chance to build rather than inherit a fixed structure. You will have time to understand the business before presenting what you believe it needs and recruiting a marketing team to help deliver it.
