About Orkka
Orkka is a multi-site manufacturing and packaging group with sites in Leeds, Kirkcaldy and Bognor Regis. We design, install and support packaging machinery for customers who rely on us to keep their lines running. Our name is new, but our engineering track record isn't, and we're growing.
The Role
We're looking for a Senior Marketing Manager to turn Orkka's agreed marketing strategy into coordinated, high-quality and commercially measurable execution. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can take clear strategic direction, translate it into priorities and plans, align the right people around delivery, remove blockers and see work through to commercial impact. You'll need to be commercially and financially literate: comfortable discussing revenue, margin, ROI, budget, P&L impact and pipeline, and able to distinguish genuine commercial impact from activity or vanity metrics.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
