Senior Marketing Manager
Blackheath, London
£48,000–£54,000
Full-time | Predominantly office-based
Are you an experienced marketing professional who combines high standards and sound judgement with a genuinely hands-on approach?
We are recruiting a Senior Marketing Manager for an established and growing financial-planning business based in Blackheath.
This is an opportunity to take ownership of day-to-day marketing delivery within a friendly, ambitious local business. You will work within an established strategy and brand framework, ensuring marketing activity is delivered consistently, professionally and to a high standard.
This is not a purely strategic position or a specialist performance-marketing role. It will suit someone who enjoys making things happen, exercising judgement and taking responsibility for the quality of work going out to clients and the wider market.
The role
Working closely with the Head of Marketing, you will:
- Own the day-to-day delivery of marketing activity across content, client communications, events, design, digital and physical channels
- Protect and maintain brand, editorial and design standards
- Turn agreed marketing strategy into consistently well-executed campaigns and activity
- Plan and manage the marketing calendar, deadlines and budget
- Brief, manage and quality-check work produced by designers, SEO, social-media and web specialists
- Line-manage and develop a part-time Community Engagement Manager
- Oversee local events, partnerships and community-engagement activity
- Deliver effective physical marketing campaigns, including direct mail, flyers and leaflet distribution
- Manage review-generation activity across platforms including Google Business Profile and VouchedFor
- Track campaign performance and provide clear reporting on results
- Produce occasional creative or marketing materials when a quick turnaround is required
- Use AI tools effectively and exercise appropriate judgement over their output

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
