Marketing & Brand Director

MADE Careers is working with a design-led property developer looking to appoint a Marketing & Brand Director to lead its brand, marketing, and communications across a growing portfolio of projects.

This is a senior but very hands-on role, sitting close to the leadership team and involved from the earliest stages of a project; developing the identity and story around a new acquisition, through to campaigns, launches, leasing, events, and the way a completed place is presented and experienced.

It would suit someone who understands architecture, design, and place, has excellent creative judgment, and wants the freedom to develop ideas rather than simply manage an established marketing function.

The Role

You'll lead marketing and communications across both the business and its individual projects, working closely with the CEO, development, and asset management teams alongside architects, designers, agencies, and other creative partners.

The remit is deliberately broad. You could be developing the positioning for a new project, briefing a designer or filmmaker, writing a pitch, planning an event, overseeing digital content, or working with the development team on how a building or neighborhood is brought to market.

It's a small, ambitious team, so this needs someone equally comfortable setting the strategy and getting involved in the detail.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the overall marketing, brand, and communications strategy
  • Develop positioning, identities, and narratives for new and existing projects
  • Create and deliver project launch and marketing campaigns
  • Oversee corporate brand and communications
  • Work closely with development and asset management teams from early project stages
  • Brief and manage branding, design, photography, film, and other creative partners
  • Develop presentations, pitches, and marketing collateral
  • Oversee digital content, social media, and project communications
  • Plan and deliver events, launches, and other brand activity
  • Work with PR partners and manage external communications
  • Build relationships with architects, designers, agencies, and collaborators
  • Ensure a consistently high standard of written and visual communication across the business
  • Manage multiple projects, campaigns, and priorities simultaneously

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Property or real estate experience would be valuable, but isn't essential. We'd also be very interested in people coming from architecture, design, construction, or the wider built environment who understand how to build strong brands and communicate projects and places.

Benefits

  • Senior role with direct access to the leadership team
  • Significant creative ownership
  • Opportunity to influence projects from their earliest stages
  • Varied portfolio across property, architecture, design, and placemaking
  • Opportunity to work with leading architects, designers, and creative partners
  • Small team with plenty of scope to introduce new ideas and ways of working

Why This Role

This is a particularly good opportunity for someone who wants more creative ownership than a traditional property marketing role might offer.

You'll be close to the projects and the people making them happen, with the opportunity to influence everything from the initial identity and positioning through to how a building or place is ultimately communicated and experienced.
