Senior Marketing Manager: Acquisition

Business Leader | London | Full-time | 3 days in office

Business Leader is looking for a commercially minded Senior Marketing Manager to lead the execution of our member acquisition activity.

This is a hands-on growth marketing role for someone who is as comfortable getting campaigns live as they are planning them. You’ll work across paid media, CRM, direct outreach, acquisition events and content to turn our acquisition strategy into joined-up campaigns that generate qualified conversations with CEOs and business leaders.

You’ll work closely with our team in Growth, Membership and Events, our internal marketing team and specialist partners across CRM, data and paid media.

What you’ll be responsible for

Owning the acquisition campaign plan

  • Manage multiple campaigns simultaneously, including member acquisition for our two lead product Business Leader Forum and Business Leader Coaching, regional acquisition activity and curated CEO events, which will include workshops and dinners.

Build joined-up multi-channel campaigns

Plan and execute campaigns across:

  • LinkedIn and other paid media (working closely with a Paid Specialist)
  • Email and CRM
  • Direct mail and personalised outreach
  • Landing pages and conversion journeys
  • Regional events and CEO experiences
  • Retargeting and nurture
  • Business Leader content and owned channels

Own audience and segmentation strategy

Work with our CRM/data specialists to identify and prioritise the audiences most likely to convert.

  • Segment prospects by factors including revenue, geography, sector, engagement and previous relationship with Business Leader, and translate those insights into targeted campaigns.
  • Balance short-term conversion opportunities from warmer audiences with longer-term acquisition and brand-building activity.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Manage our specialist partners

Be the central marketing lead across our external acquisition specialists, including CRM/outreach, paid media and HubSpot support.

  • Set clear briefs, priorities and deadlines, challenge recommendations where necessary and make sure everyone is working towards one joined-up acquisition plan.

Test, learn and optimise

Build a disciplined test-and-learn approach across audiences, messages, propositions, creative and channels.

  • Use campaign performance to continually improve where we invest and what we do next.

Work hand-in-hand with Growth and Membership

Partner closely with Growth and Membership to understand lead quality, conversion barriers and what prospects are telling us.

  • Make sure marketing doesn't stop at lead generation: build effective follow-up, nurture and re-engagement journeys for prospects who aren't ready to buy immediately.

What we're looking for

You’ll probably have 6+ years' experience in B2B marketing, growth or acquisition, with strong experience running integrated campaigns.

You’ll be:

  • Highly commercial and focused on measurable outcomes, ideally accustomed to delivering a Marketing Qualified Lead KPI
  • Hands-on and comfortable getting into the detail
  • Experienced in campaign management on a CRM
  • Experienced in designing and managing email, direct mail and lead-generation campaigns
  • Knowledge of paid social, CRM, email and lead-generation campaigns
  • Confident working with HubSpot
  • Strong on audience segmentation and campaign targeting
  • Comfortable interpreting campaign and funnel data
  • Experienced managing agencies, freelancers or specialist partners
  • Able to manage multiple campaigns without losing sight of the overall strategy
  • Comfortable working closely with senior stakeholders and sales teams
  • Curious, pragmatic and willing to test rather than wait for everything to be perfect
  • University qualification, ideally in marketing

What success looks like

Within your first six months, we want to have:

  • A clear, repeatable acquisition engine across paid, CRM, outreach and events
  • Better activation and conversion of Business Leader's existing prospect database
  • A growing pipeline of qualified CEOs and founders
  • Clear understanding of which audiences, messages and channels drive engagement and conversion
  • Stronger marketing-to-sales journeys and nurture
  • Consistent campaign reporting that helps us make better investment decisions
  • An acquisition model we can scale across regions, propositions and major Business Leader moments

This is a role for someone who wants to build the acquisition engine, not simply manage a marketing calendar.

Why join Business Leader?

Business Leader is entering an ambitious new phase of growth, backed by HomeServe founder Sir Richard Harpin.

You’ll join at a pivotal moment, helping build the acquisition engine for a growing CEO community spanning peer forums, coaching, content and events.

It’s an opportunity to work closely with the leadership team, move quickly, test ideas and have a visible impact on growth. You will be part of a vibrant marketing team of three, reporting to the Marketing Director.
