Senior Marketing Manager – Fixed Term Contract - £49,520

About our Team:

Our Product Marketing team is dynamic, collaborative and results-oriented. We work closely with Product Innovation, Editorial, Field and Integrated Marketing and Sales teams to understand customer and market needs, shape product positioning and messaging, and support the successful development, launch and growth of our digital library products and new product ideas.

Role Overview:

The Senior Marketing Manager role will manage the marketing strategy for a portfolio of digital products, comprising of Sage Data and CQ Press, to support portfolio growth, strengthen market positioning and drive revenue primarily for the North American market.

Your New Role:

  • Input into the strategic development of the product(s) and region(s) by collaborating with other business functions to maximise sales in alignment with business objectives
  • Play an active role in fostering a customer-focused culture within the team and use a variety of methods to gather knowledge of customer needs to help define marketing strategies.
  • Devise and implement strategic marketing plans that use a mix of both digital and offline channels to achieve strong results.
  • Lead on initiatives, programs and projects that have a business level impact and contribute to achieving the overall objectives of the team.
  • Build strong, collaborative relationships with collaborators across Marketing and other business functions, including Sales, Editorial and Product Management, to share insight, influence plans and ensure portfolio marketing activity is aligned with business priorities.
  • Undertake competitor and market analysis to see opportunities for market expansion, inform positioning and support strategic decision-making.
  • Set, manage and track budget for assigned product(s) and region(s) and/or program.
  • Play an active role in building the profile of the team by finding opportunities to showcase insight, strategic contribution and commercial value across the business.

Are you:

  • Experienced in marketing within the publishing industry
  • Proven in generating leads and driving revenue
  • Data literate, with the ability to understand and effectively market data-driven products
  • Skilled in manipulating, analyzing, and presenting data
  • An excellent verbal and written communicator, with strong presentation and copywriting skills
  • Able to influence collaborators and gain agreement for new initiatives and proposals
  • Experienced in project management, including setting, managing, and tracking budgets
  • A critical thinker who can solve problems and identify new approaches to existing processes
