SENIOR MARKETING MANAGER / MARKETING DIRECTOR

Masala Zone Restaurants

MW Eat is one of London’s leading Indian restaurant groups, with a distinctive collection of restaurants including Amaya, Chutney Mary, Veeraswamy and Masala Zone restaurants. The group brings together exceptional Indian food, warm hospitality, strong design and a deep respect for the many regional cuisines and cultures of India.

Masala Zone is our informal dining brand: colourful, lively and genuinely Indian. Since opening in 2001, it has become known for offering a “real taste of India” through a wide range of proper Indian food: pioneering street food, thalis, freshly made vegetables, grills, regional curries and biryanis.

Each Masala Zone restaurant has its own visual personality, using contemporary Indian design, Indian art, bold interiors and distinctive visual idioms to create restaurants that feel exciting, accessible and rooted in culture.

We are looking for a Senior Marketing Manager / Marketing Director who can help us tell this story with energy, intelligence and commercial focus.

Why this role is exciting

This is a chance to market a restaurant brand with real substance: not generic “Indian food”, but food, design and hospitality inspired by the richness, colour and variety of India.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

You will work with a brand that already has strong recognition, loyal guests, central London locations and a clear point of difference. Your role will be to sharpen the message, grow the audience, drive bookings and make Masala Zone feel even more visible, relevant and loved.

What you’ll do

You will:

  • Plan and deliver campaigns that drive bookings, footfall, delivery, repeat visits and loyalty.
  • Bring Masala Zone’s food, interiors, Indian cultural references and guest experience to life across digital and local marketing.
  • Manage social media, content, email, CRM, website updates, offers and campaign calendars.
  • Create marketing around launches, seasonal moments, festivals, private dining, brunches, set menus and local opportunities.
  • Build partnerships with local businesses, hotels, theatres, offices, cultural organisations and community groups.
  • Track results and improve activity using data, guest feedback and commercial performance.

What we’re looking for

You should have:

  • At least 7 years track record of success in marketing, including at least one successful premium informal dining restaurant brand of Asian or Latin America cuisines in London
  • Strong digital marketing skills.
  • Very strong familiarity with Indian culture, including food, festivals, customs, design references, language sensitivities and visual idioms.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate Indian culture in a way that is authentic, respectful, contemporary and appealing to a wide London audience.
  • Unrestricted right to work in the UK

Remuneration & Position

Salary of £65K to £70K, and title will depend on skills & experience.

The person we want

You will be creative but practical, commercial but culturally sensitive, organised but full of ideas.

You will understand that Masala Zone is not a standard curry-house brand. It is about real Indian food, memorable interiors, warm hospitality and a vivid sense of India.

You will enjoy turning that into marketing that makes people want to book, visit, share, return and recommend us.

In return

You will join a respected London restaurant group with strong brands, ambitious plans and a rich story to tell. This is a role for someone who wants to make a visible impact and help shape the voice of one of London’s best-known Indian restaurant names.
