About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced and strategic Senior Marketing Manager to lead the development and delivery of ambitious marketing strategies and campaigns that drive brand awareness, customer engagement, and sustainable growth across our international qualifications business. Working at the heart of OxfordAQA, a joint venture between Oxford University Press and AQA, you’ll create impactful campaigns, build thought leadership initiatives, develop market insights, and identify new opportunities to strengthen our presence across global education markets.
This is a varied and influential leadership role where no two days are the same. One day you could be planning a high-profile brand campaign, the next collaborating with senior stakeholders to secure buy-in for a new initiative or briefing agencies on innovative marketing projects. You’ll oversee the full marketing lifecycle, developing plans that support both existing OxfordAQA centres and new customer acquisition, while ensuring every activity delivers measurable results. Using customer, competitor, and market insights, you’ll continuously refine strategies, optimise performance, and help shape the future direction of the business.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
