About the role
Deliveroo is looking for a Senior Marketing Manager, Search and App to own two of our most important growth channels: paid search and app marketing across France, Italy, and Belgium. You will set the strategy, own the budget, and lead the team responsible for turning media spend into profitable, sustainable growth.
This is a leadership role for someone who wants to build and run a high-performing performance marketing function inside a business that moves fast. Deliveroo operates in a dynamic, competitive market, and priorities shift quickly in response to what we learn. You will need to redirect budget, team focus, and strategy at short notice, sometimes across several markets or initiatives at once.
AI is central to how this role will be delivered. You will be expected to actively use and champion AI tools — from automated bidding and creative generation to forecasting and anomaly detection — to make the channel more efficient and to free up the team to focus on higher-value strategic work. Experience of applying AI in a marketing or growth context, or a genuine appetite to build that experience quickly, is essential.
You will operate within a matrix organisation, working alongside Brand, Growth, Product, Data Science, Finance, and regional General Managers. Success in this role depends on your ability to build trust and alignment across a wide group of stakeholders who do not report to you, and to keep them aligned even as plans change. This role will report into the Performance Marketing Director and work under our hybrid model - 3 days a week from our London HQ.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
What you'll be doing
- Own the strategy, execution, and performance of paid search (Google, Bing, and other search platforms) and app marketing across France, Italy, and Belgium.
- Deliver growth in New Customers, Resurrections, New Vertical purchases, and subscriptions to our loyalty programme efficiently for the channel. Manage the team to deliver against them alongside reporting performance to senior marketing and business leadership.
- Lead, coach, and grow a team of paid search and app marketing specialists, building the capability the team needs as the business and the channels evolve.
- Identify, adopt, and scale AI-driven tools and automation across bidding, creative production, measurement, and anomaly detection to improve performance and efficiency.
- Own budget allocation across paid search and app, and reallocate spend quickly in response to performance, competitor activity, or changes in the market.
- Partner closely with Data Science, Engineering, and Analytics to build and refine attribution, measurement, and bidding models the team relies on.
- Work as part of a matrix organisation, collaborating with Brand, Growth, Product, Finance, and regional General Managers to align a broad set of stakeholders around shared goals and trade-offs.
- Track platform and policy changes across Google, Apple, and Android, and adapt Deliveroo's approach ahead of competitors.
Requirements
- Significant experience leading paid search and/or app marketing at scale, ideally in a high-growth consumer, marketplace, or on-demand business.
- A track record of owning large budgets and delivering measurable efficiency and growth results against clear targets.
- People leadership experience, having built, managed, and developed high-performing performance marketing teams.
- Hands-on experience with, or a strong appetite to quickly adopt, AI tools and automation as a core part of how you drive channel performance — this is a genuine expectation of the role, not a nice-to-have.
- A demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Comfortable changing direction, reprioritising, and moving between competing demands without losing momentum.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and prior experience operating within a matrix organisation, able to influence and align stakeholders across functions without direct authority over them.
- Strong analytical and commercial rigour, comfortable with data, experimentation, and measurement, and able to turn numbers into a clear story and a clear recommendation.
