At OQC, we aren't just theorising about the future; we're building it.
Born from a philosophy of bold innovation, we've transitioned quantum computing from an academic ambition into a commercial reality - and we're just getting started.
The Purpose
Own OQC's global marketing campaigns, shaping our market position and accelerating our brand presence, PR profile and commercial growth.
As our Senior Marketing Manager, you'll manage the end-to-end strategy and execution of high-impact campaigns across digital channels, press and events - bringing technical storytelling to life while ensuring brand consistency and strategic alignment with our wider business goals.
Working closely with commercial, product and technical teams, you'll support revenue growth through targeted account-based marketing and sales enablement, using strategic messaging to drive engagement and conversion. You'll track performance, report on impact and continuously optimise campaigns through data-driven decision-making, ensuring every campaign strengthens OQC's leadership position in the market.
The Role
Working within Commercial and Marketing, you'll combine marketing strategy, creative direction and hands-on campaign delivery. You'll bring together global and local activity, ensuring OQC's brand, technical stories and commercial messaging work together across markets and channels.
You'll line-manage one or two Marketing Managers, developing their capabilities, setting clear priorities and ensuring they understand how their work contributes to OQC's corporate strategy. You'll provide direction and constructive feedback while maintaining high standards across the team's output.
Alongside leading your team and coordinating agencies and suppliers, you'll remain directly involved in the work: developing campaigns, reviewing content, independently managing HubSpot and supporting the promotional and practical delivery of events.
What You'll Be Working On
- Develop and lead a multi-channel marketing strategy that reflects OQC's global and local positioning, translating corporate priorities into coordinated campaigns and clear direction for your team
- Champion the OQC brand across external communications, creating and reviewing content across newsletters, social media, websites, blogs and promotional materials, while ensuring scientific review and appropriate senior approval before publication
- Lead OQC's public relations strategy and delivery, developing press releases and pitches, coordinating distribution and working with leadership, technical experts and agencies to increase awareness in target markets
- Develop and lead account-based marketing and lead-generation activity, working closely with Commercial on value proposition, messaging and sales enablement to support revenue generation and pipeline growth
- Independently manage HubSpot workflows, automations, campaigns and reporting, using HubSpot, GA4 and AgilityPR to assess engagement, commercial impact and return on investment, and present recommendations to senior leadership
- Manage suppliers, briefs and associated budgets, supporting Marketing Managers with event promotion, logistics and materials, including on-site set-up, breakdown and coordination
- Lead and develop your Marketing Managers through clear objectives, workload prioritisation and regular feedback, ensuring company strategy is understood and reflected in consistent, high-quality work

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
