REPORTS: Founder / Fractional CMO
DIRECT REPORTS: 3 (Senior Graphic Designer, Social Media & Community Manager, Ecommerce Marketing Manager)
THE ROLE
The Senior Marketing Manager will lead MZ SKIN’s marketing strategy and execution across brand, product marketing, trade marketing, PR, communication, digital, paid media, ecommerce, CRM. Working closely with the Founder / CMO, this is a broad, hands-on leadership role for someone equally comfortable setting strategic direction and getting into the detail of campaigns, creative, and copy.
You will be responsible for protecting and evolving the MZ SKIN brand while ensuring marketing activity drives measurable commercial results across DTC and retail. You will lead a small, high-output internal team and manage a network of specialist agencies and partners, working closely with Commercial, Ecommerce, NPD, and Operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Brand Strategy & Marketing
- Use consumer, customer, and market insights, competitor activity, and cultural trends to inform brand strategy, campaign planning, and commercial decision-making.
- Own and evolve MZ SKIN’s brand positioning, tone of voice, and visual identity across all touchpoints.
- Develop the overarching annual marketing strategy and calendar, aligned with brand and commercial objectives.
- Plan and deliver brand campaigns, seasonal moments, product launches, and major brand programs, including anniversary campaigns.
- Act as guardian of brand consistency across marketing, ecommerce, retail, PR, and communications.
- Partner directly with the Founder on strategic and creative direction, translating her vision and voice into compelling marketing output.
Product Marketing
- Lead go-to-market strategy for new product launches, from naming and positioning through to campaign development and rollout.
- Develop product messaging, copy, training materials, and claims content in partnership with R&D and clinical stakeholders.
- Build integrated launch plans across PR, trade, ecommerce, paid, organic, and CRM.
- Partner closely with the Head of NPD and Operations to align marketing timelines, claims, and positioning with product development milestones.
- Ensure existing products and hero franchises continue to receive appropriate marketing support beyond launch.
PR, Communications & Partnerships
- Oversee PR strategy and key communications moments, including brand milestones, product launches, and Founder profiling.
- Ensure press materials and communications consistently reflect MZ SKIN’s positioning and the Founder’s voice.
- Identify strategic partnerships, collaborations, influencers, and creators that strengthen brand credibility and reach.
- Develop opportunities that establish Dr Maryam Zamani as a leading voice within skincare, beauty, and the wider industry.
- Plan and manage brand events from concept through to execution, including venues, guest lists, suppliers, and production.

Trade & Retail Marketing
- Lead marketing strategy and support for key retail partners, including Harrods and Selfridges.
- Build strong relationships with retailer marketing teams and identify opportunities to increase visibility, engagement, and sell-through.
- Develop retailer campaigns, decks, case studies, sampling programs, events, in-store activations, and window takeovers.
- Create retailer-facing assets, training materials, and launch support for trade accounts.
- Work closely with the Head of Commercial and National Account Manager to align marketing investment with account priorities and retail targets.
Ecommerce & CRM
- Manage the Ecommerce Marketing Manager, overseeing all messaging, creative, and content across digital touchpoints.
- Guide website content, landing pages, email marketing, Klaviyo, CRM, and loyalty communications.
- Develop acquisition, conversion, retention, and customer lifecycle initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to improve the digital customer journey and overall ecommerce experience.
- Ensure ecommerce storytelling and messaging remain consistent with the wider brand.
- Commercial targets and ecommerce performance will be shared with the Head of Commercial.
Paid Media & Digital Growth
- Own the organic social, content, and community strategy across key platforms, ensuring content builds brand relevance, engagement, and reach while supporting wider campaigns and commercial priorities.
- Own paid social and paid media strategy, working with the Paid Media Agency across Paid Search and Paid Social.
- Set budgets, targets, and KPIs to drive efficient, brand-appropriate acquisition and retention.
- Ensure paid creative, copy, and messaging align with brand positioning and commercial priorities.
- Work with the CRM agency on retention and lifecycle strategy.
- Manage specialist partners including freelance development, SEO, and content strategy to support website performance and organic growth.
- Monitor performance and ensure marketing investment is focused against the highest-impact opportunities.

Team & Agency Leadership
- Lead, manage, and develop the Senior Graphic Designer and Social Media & Community Manager.
- Manage the Ecommerce Marketing Manager across messaging, creative, and content, with commercial targets shared with the Head of Commercial.
- Establish clear priorities, deliverables, and KPIs across the marketing team.
- Manage external agencies and specialist freelancers, including Paid Media, CRM, development, SEO, and content partners.
- Manage the overall marketing budget and ensure effective allocation of investment.
- Provide clear, succinct performance reporting to the Founder and wider leadership team.
What We’re Looking For
- Significant marketing experience within luxury, beauty, or premium consumer brands.
- A strong understanding of how to build, evolve, and protect a luxury brand.
- Proven experience leading a broad, multi-channel remit spanning brand, digital, paid media, ecommerce, CRM, trade marketing, and communications.
- Strong commercial understanding, with the ability to connect brand-building activity to measurable business performance.
- Experience managing and developing high-performing teams.
- Strong retail and trade marketing experience, ideally working with prestige retailers.
- Excellent copywriting skills and exceptional creative judgment.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing, customer acquisition, retention, and ecommerce.
- Experience managing agencies, external partners, and marketing budgets.
- Comfortable working directly with a Founder and translating strategic vision into clear execution.
- Highly organized, proactive, and hands-on, with the ability to move fluidly between long-term strategy and day-to-day delivery.
