Senior Marketing Officer - Supporter Activation

Salary: £41,325 per year

Location: London, UK

Working Arrangement: Hybrid – approximately 60% remote and 40% face-to-face, including the London office, external meetings or travel

Contract: 12-month fixed-term contract

Hours: 35 hours per week, full-time

Overview

WaterAid is looking for a Senior Marketing Officer to manage and deliver supporter activation campaigns within its fundraising and marketing team.

You will take responsibility for press insert campaigns, including strategy, delivery, analysis and reporting, while supporting the development of new campaigns, projects and channels. You will also contribute to direct response television and brand programmes, working with internal teams, creative and media agencies, printers and other external partners.

The role involves UK and potential international travel and liaison with stakeholders across different time zones.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the strategy, delivery, analysis and reporting of ongoing press insert campaigns.
  • Work with internal teams, creative and media agencies, printers and other external partners to deliver campaigns and projects.
  • Manage key agency relationships and liaise with account managers throughout campaign delivery.
  • Work with insight and creative teams to develop and deliver audience-focused communications.
  • Support the development and delivery of new campaigns, projects and marketing channels.
  • Support annual planning and budgeting, including monthly cost monitoring and invoice processing.
  • Contribute to direct response television and brand programmes.
  • Identify opportunities for effective cross-departmental working and champion WaterAid’s commitment to equity, inclusion and safeguarding.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in direct marketing, fundraising, supporter activation, supporter engagement and/or customer marketing.
  • Experience managing projects, particularly leading or supporting complex campaigns involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and flexibly.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet strict deadlines in a changing environment.

Desirable

  • Experience project managing direct marketing campaigns from start to finish across channels including print, telemarketing and digital.
  • Experience presenting to and project managing internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience working in the voluntary or fundraising sector.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment and delivering to short deadlines.
