About Us

Derby and Burton Hospitals Charity (The Charity) is a registered Charity (registration number 1061812) and partners with The University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust to provide exceptional care together.

Our charity, which includes the Air Arts team, aims to achieve this through supporting staff to care for patients in safe, high-quality environments, using the latest equipment, technology and learning and contributing to the future of health through a commitment to research and development. The charity provides a public benefit to the patients it serves and the staff who support and treat our patients. The charity is aware that its role is not to replace or subsidise NHS healthcare, but to complement and enhance it.

On 1 July 2018, the NHS Trust brought together five hospitals in Derby, Burton, Lichfield and Tamworth to provide the highest quality care to patients across Southern Derbyshire and South East Staffordshire. The trust aims to deliver outstanding care for local people as we bring together the expertise of our 12,000 staff across our five hospital sites. As part of this merger, the two Trust charities were also merged to create the now Derby and Burton Hospitals Charity.

In November 2026, the charity will become a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO).

Role Overview

This is an opportunity to use your creativity and strategic expertise to make a genuine difference to patients, families and staff across our hospitals.

Reporting to the Head of Marketing and Stakeholder Management, you will develop and deliver integrated campaigns that drive engagement, fundraising and awareness. From securing positive media coverage and building influential stakeholder relationships to leading digital communications, content creation and brand development, you will ensure our charity's impact is seen, heard and understood by the audiences that matter most. You will also oversee our growing merchandise and retail offer, helping to maximise both income generation and brand visibility.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
