Senior Mass Participation Events Fundraiser

Hybrid/London office – dependent on location
£35k depending on experience plus competitive reward and benefit scheme
37.5 hours per week – Maternity Cover

Our work matters because life matters, until the very end. For over 70 years, our specialist team has been working towards giving everyone the palliative and end-of-life care they deserve. And we're looking for Mass Participation Events Fundraising Manager to help us get there.

You’ll be responsible for…

  • Supporting the Mass Participation Events Fundraising Manager and managing their own portfolio of mass participation events. This role is a key part of our Mass Participation Events Team.
  • Planning and delivering income for the charity and managing growth of fundraising income to target.
  • Lead with the acquisition of donors for specific events.
  • Maximise the brand exposure through the day-to-day management of a portfolio of third-party sports and challenge events.

Essential Criteria

  • Extensive fundraising experience and expertise in Challenge Event fundraising
  • Experience supporting with the development and management of budgets, reforecasts and financial reporting.
  • Experience of developing and working to project plans and delivering against objectives.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels.
  • Experience of developing compelling marketing materials for print, web and/or social media.
  • Experience of working in a team and also cross-departmentally.

Desirable Criteria

  • Ability to utilise electronic and manual administrative systems efficiently, using databases to record information and progress, and competent in IT skills.
  • Experience of evaluating own work and making improvements based on insight and being open to learning.
