Inventory Controller / Materials Planner
Location: Uttoxeter
Pay Rate: To be discussed dependent upon experience
Contract Type: Permanent
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday, 8:30am to 5:00pm | Friday, 8:30am to 4:00pm

Hunters 4 Staff are recruiting for an experienced Inventory Controller / Materials Planner to join our client in Uttoxeter. This highly visible role requires planning and expediting parts in line with market demands, scheduling from a complex supply chain, and ensuring continuity of supply. A real sense of urgency, excellent problem-solving skills, and strong cross-functional communication are essential.

If you have experience in materials planning, enjoy analysing data, and can confidently work across departments and liaise with suppliers internationally to solve supply chain challenges, we'd like to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage material requirements planning to ensure a continuous supply of parts and materials.
- Monitor and control inventory levels, balancing availability with stock optimisation and waste reduction.
- Maintain and update planning parameters including lead times, safety stock levels, reorder points, and minimum order quantities.
- Work closely with Purchasing, Production, Warehousing, and Sales teams to align stock availability with business requirements.
- Track supplier performance, expedite deliveries where needed, and proactively resolve supply issues.
- Maintain accurate ERP system data and report on inventory and supply chain KPIs.

Requirements
- Previous experience in a Materials Planner, Inventory Controller, Supply Chain Planner, or similar role.
- Very strong Excel skills including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables.
- Strong SAP experience.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with multiple departments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Well organised, able to prioritise tasks, and comfortable working to deadlines.
