About the Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Building Surveyor to join a specialist Major & Complex Loss team, working on some of the UK's most significant domestic and commercial property claims.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong Building Surveyor who enjoys managing complex projects, working with high-value properties and delivering the right outcomes for policyholders.

You will take ownership of major and complex claims from initial assessment through to completion, combining your surveying expertise with strong project management and stakeholder management skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed site inspections of damaged residential and commercial properties across the UK.
• Assess building damage and provide expert technical advice in relation to insurance claims.
• Manage complex reinstatement projects from initial assessment through to completion.
• Prepare detailed reports, specifications, tender documentation and contract administration documents.
• Manage a portfolio of Major Loss and High Net Worth claims whilst meeting agreed service standards and SLAs.
• Monitor reinstatement works, ensuring quality, cost control and timely completion.
• Work closely with policyholders, insurers, loss adjusters, brokers, contractors and other professional stakeholders.
• Provide clear and regular updates throughout the claims and reinstatement process.
• Deliver a high level of customer service, particularly when dealing with high-value and complex losses.
• Ensure all work complies with relevant procedures, client requirements and industry regulations.
• Identify practical and commercially sound solutions to complex building issues.
• Support colleagues and contribute to the wider success of the team during periods of increased claim volumes.
