Senior Quantity Surveyor (M&E) – London

Location: Central London (Hybrid Working)

Salary: Competitive + Benefits

Turner Property Recruitment is delighted to be partnering with a leading construction and property consultancy in the search for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor (M&E) to join their growing team in London.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially astute M&E cost professional to join a highly respected consultancy and play a key role in delivering specialist cost management services across a diverse range of projects throughout the UK.

Based in Central London with flexible hybrid working arrangements, you will become part of a collaborative and ambitious business that offers genuine career progression, exposure to high-profile projects, and the opportunity to help shape the growth of a specialist M&E cost management team.

The Role

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will provide specialist Mechanical and Electrical cost management expertise across a variety of sectors and project types. Working closely with project teams, clients, and senior stakeholders, you will support the delivery of commercially successful outcomes while also mentoring and developing junior team members.

This position offers significant variety, with opportunities to collaborate across multiple offices and client accounts nationwide.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead cost planning, estimating, procurement, and contract administration activities.
  • Manage valuations, variations, payment recommendations, and monthly financial reporting.
  • Monitor commercial performance and identify project risks and opportunities.
  • Track contractual obligations, project changes, and financial exposures.
  • Resolve contractual matters and support the mitigation of commercial disputes.
  • Maintain accurate cost records, financial data, and reporting documentation.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and delivery partners.
  • Manage client expectations and contribute to exceptional service delivery.
  • Support and mentor junior team members through coaching, delegation, and quality assurance reviews.
  • Contribute to commercial governance, compliance, and risk management processes.
  • Assist with proposals, benchmarking exercises, market intelligence, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
