Senior Mechanical Building Services Engineer | Birmingham, London or Dublin
Up to £70,000 (UK) / €75,000 (Ireland)
Looking for the flexibility of remote working without compromising on technical quality or career progression?
I'm supporting one of Europe's fastest-growing engineering consultancies as they continue to expand their Building Services team across Birmingham, London and Dublin.
If you're based in Birmingham or London, this role is remote-first, giving you the flexibility to work from home while remaining connected to project teams when required.
If you're based in Dublin, you'll work on a hybrid basis, combining collaboration in the office with the flexibility to work remotely.
Whether you're designing commercial developments, life sciences facilities, energy infrastructure or industrial projects, you'll be trusted to take ownership from concept through to completion whilst working alongside some of the industry's most experienced engineers.

The Role
You'll lead the delivery of mechanical building services design across technically complex projects, working closely with multidisciplinary teams and taking responsibility for client relationships, project delivery and mentoring junior engineers.
You'll be involved in:
- Leading projects from concept through to handover.
- Designing HVAC and mechanical building services systems.
- Coordinating with architects, structural, electrical and process engineers.
- Attending client and design team meetings.
- Producing technical reports, specifications and tender documentation.
- Supporting construction, commissioning and technical queries.
- Mentoring and developing junior engineers.
About You
You'll ideally have:
- 7+ years' experience in Mechanical Building Services or MEP Design.
- Consultancy experience.
- Experience delivering commercial, industrial, pharmaceutical, life sciences or energy projects.
- Strong HVAC and building services design knowledge.
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills.

Chartership (or working towards it) is advantageous but not essential.
