YOUR NEW COMPANY

You'll be joining a specialist engineering consultancy delivering technically challenging projects across the data centre, energy, industrial and commercial sectors. Their engineers are trusted to design the critical building infrastructure that keeps some of Europe's most advanced facilities operating safely, efficiently and reliably.

Following sustained growth and continued investment across the UK and Europe, the business is expanding its mechanical team to support a growing pipeline of major projects.

With offices in both London and Birmingham, you'll have the opportunity to work from either location in a hybrid environment while playing a key role in delivering some of the industry's most technically demanding developments.

YOUR NEW ROLE

You'll join an experienced multidisciplinary building services team working alongside mechanical, electrical, structural and process engineers to deliver projects from early concept through to client handover. Rather than designing manufacturing equipment, you'll take ownership of the mechanical building services that enable complex facilities to operate efficiently and safely.

You'll lead the design of HVAC, ventilation, heating, cooling, utilities and life safety systems across industrial, commercial and energy developments, coordinating closely with architects, contractors, process specialists and clients throughout the project lifecycle. You'll prepare technical reports, tender documentation and detailed design packages while supporting projects through construction and commissioning.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

This is a consultancy where senior engineers are trusted to make decisions, mentor junior colleagues and shape technical delivery. As the business continues to grow, you'll have the opportunity to lead increasingly complex projects while developing into a recognised technical leader within the organisation.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED

You'll bring at least 7 years experience delivering mechanical building services design within a consultancy environment, supported by a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline. You'll be comfortable leading projects independently and designing mechanical systems for industrial or commercial buildings from concept through to completion.

Your background should include HVAC, ventilation, heating, cooling, utilities and life safety systems, together with experience coordinating multidisciplinary design teams and maintaining high technical standards throughout project delivery. Knowledge of ATEX environments, CIBSE, ASHRAE, BS and EN standards, together with experience using Navisworks and Bluebeam, will allow you to hit the ground running.
