Are you an experienced Mechanical Clerk of Works, Building Services Inspector or Construction Professional who takes pride in delivering quality projects and making sure things are done right?
We're looking for a Senior Mechanical Clerk of Works to join our friendly and growing Compliance & Risk team, helping to deliver a diverse range of construction and building services projects across Warwickshire. From schools and corporate buildings to specialist facilities, you'll play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, compliantly and to the highest standards.
What makes this role different is the people you'll be working with.
We're a genuinely supportive team who look out for one another, share knowledge and work together to solve problems. Whilst you'll have responsibility for your own projects, you'll never be left to deal with challenges alone. We have a wealth of experience across compliance, construction, health and safety, CDM and project delivery, and we're always willing to help each other succeed.
What You'll Be Doing
- Inspecting mechanical and building services installations on construction projects.
- Monitoring quality, compliance and workmanship on site.
- Witnessing testing and commissioning activities.
- Working alongside project managers, design teams and contractors.
- Identifying defects and supporting their resolution.
- Providing professional technical advice and assurance.
- Supporting NEC contract delivery arrangements and undertaking NEC4 Supervisor duties where required.
About You
You'll bring practical construction experience, excellent technical knowledge and a passion for delivering quality outcomes. Just as importantly, you'll enjoy working collaboratively, building positive relationships and contributing to a team-focused environment.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
