Senior Mechanical Engineer | South Wales (Hybrid) | £51.16 per hour (Umbrella) | 12 Month Contract
Ceto Talent are partnering with a leading engineering consultancy to recruit an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to support the delivery of major building services and infrastructure projects across South Wales.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established team working on high-profile projects, contributing to the design and delivery of mechanical building services solutions across a diverse portfolio of work.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading and supporting the delivery of mechanical building services design projects
- Producing mechanical specifications, equipment schedules, and technical documentation
- Undertaking heating, cooling, and ventilation calculations
- Managing project deliverables and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams
- Engaging with clients, contractors, and key stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
- Conducting site surveys and project progress reviews
- Supporting and mentoring junior engineers within the team

What We're Looking For
- Degree qualified in Building Services Engineering or a related discipline
- Chartered Engineer status, or working towards chartership
- Strong experience within a consultancy or contractor design environment
- Proven mechanical building services design experience
- Proficiency with design software such as IES, Hevacomp, NBS, and Revit
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to manage workload, project priorities, and budgets effectively

Contract Details
- £51.16 per hour Umbrella
- Inside IR35
- 12-month contract
- Hybrid working arrangement
- Based across Cardiff and Swansea offices
- 37.5-hour working week
- Immediate and short-notice candidates welcomed
