Senior Mechanical Design Engineer
Join an innovative engineering business developing next-generation power and electrification technologies for demanding applications. This is an opportunity to work on complex, high-performance engineering systems from initial concept and detailed design through to prototyping, testing, and production.
Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their expanding engineering team. This is an exciting opportunity for a mechanical design engineer who enjoys working on technically challenging products and wants genuine involvement across the full product development lifecycle.
The Role
As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will take ownership of mechanical design projects, working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop robust, innovative, and manufacturable products.

Key Responsibilities
- Developing mechanical designs from concept through to manufacture.
- Producing detailed 3D CAD models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings.
- Designing complex mechanical components and assemblies.
- Applying DFM/DFA principles to ensure robust, manufacturable designs.
- Supporting prototyping, testing, and design verification.
- Working with manufacturing and suppliers to resolve design and production challenges.
- Contributing to design reviews and providing technical guidance to junior engineers.
About You as a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer:
- Proven experience in mechanical design engineering.
- Degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or a related discipline.
- Strong 3D CAD skills.
- Experience designing complex mechanical products.
- Good knowledge of DFM/DFA, tolerancing, and manufacturing processes.
- Experience taking designs through prototyping, testing, and production.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to take ownership of projects.
