Continued growth and investment has created an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Mechanical Designer to join their engineering team based near Sheffield.

As a Senior Mechanical Designer, you will play a key role in delivering bespoke engineering solutions for complex and non-standard customer applications.

Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with internal stakeholders across Sales, Application Engineering and Manufacturing
- Be responsible for reviewing customer requirements, developing innovative design concepts and producing detailed designs that meet technical and commercial requirements
- Modify existing designs and create new designs to provide solutions for unique applications
- Support product development activities and produce associated bills of materials
- You'll also act as a technical point of contact for customers and internal teams, helping to solve engineering challenges in a fast-paced environment where priorities can shift quickly
Profile
Successful candidates will have a strong mechanical design background and will be capable of working at pace, even with bespoke designs.
You will be an experienced Design Engineer and possess:
- HNC, HND or Degree in an Engineering discipline, or equivalent industry experience
- Previous experience within a mechanical design engineering environment
- Strong 3D CAD capabilities with the ability to produce accurate, high-quality designs
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage confidently with customers and colleagues
- Proven problem-solving skills with a proactive and analytical approach
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative engineering team
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to balance accuracy, quality and delivery timescales
- Experience in working at pace, even with bespoke products
