Mechanical Design Engineer - (outside IR35)
Contract, Hybrid (Gloucestershire)
£depending on experience / expectations
Leading aerospace company are seeking Senior Mechanical Engineer to support expanding project aligned to aerospace, high power electricals and adjoining electronics casings, fluid systems networks and piping & engine systems.
Experience:
Circa 7 - 20+ years in Mechanical Design, with extensive / highly relevant aerospace industry exposure.

Tasks
- Own CAD design and associated data for assigned components and assemblies
- 3D CAD models and high-quality 2D production drawings
- PLM Management
- Apply knowledge of GD&T, materials, finishes, manufacturing processes, as well as stress analysis
- Lead and participate in design reviews
Key Skills
- Expert user of 3D CAD (Siemens NX strongly preferred) and experience with Teamcenter PLM or similar systems.
- Strong understanding of GD&T (ASME standards) and capability to create complex, aerospace-grade CAD models and mechanical drawings.
- Understanding of stress analysis principles, materials, finishes, and relevant manufacturing processes.

Desirable Skills
- Knowledge of advanced manufacturing techniques, including additive manufacturing.
- Capability to conduct thermal, fluid, or complex mechanical simulations.
