Senior Mechanical Design Engineer – Revit / HVAC
Location: Bromsgrove (On site/ Hybrid)
Contract: Permanent or Contract Considered
The Opportunity
We are recruiting for an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join an established mechanical building services business in Birmingham.
This is a hands-on design role for an engineer who is confident taking mechanical building services designs from initial concept through to detailed design and working drawings, with strong, recent experience using Autodesk Revit.
You will work across a range of commercial and fit-out projects, designing HVAC and mechanical services and working closely with project teams and other disciplines to deliver coordinated, buildable solutions.
Revit is essential for this position.
What You'll Be Doing
- Develop mechanical building services designs from concept through to detailed design and working drawings.
- Produce and develop Revit models and coordinated mechanical layouts.
- Design HVAC and mechanical services including LTHW, CHW, ventilation, air conditioning, ductwork and pipework.
- Produce accurate mechanical design calculations and technical information.
- Coordinate designs with other disciplines and resolve design issues throughout projects.
- Work independently across multiple projects and deliver designs to programme and deadlines.
- Support project delivery from design through to construction.
- Provide technical guidance to more junior engineers where required.

What We're Looking For
Essential
- Strong experience in mechanical building services design.
- Strong, hands-on Revit experience – essential.
- Experience designing HVAC/mechanical services including LTHW, CHW, ventilation, AC, ductwork and pipework.
- Experience taking designs from concept through to detailed/working drawings.
- Ability to work independently and manage deadlines across multiple projects.
- Degree, HNC or HND in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.

Desirable
- Commercial building services or fit-out experience.
- AutoCAD experience alongside Revit.
- Experience with Hevacomp and/or TAS.
- Experience coordinating designs with other disciplines.
- Previous experience mentoring or supporting junior engineers.
