We're looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Kier Mechanical & Electrical team based in London.

Location: London

Hours: Full Time, Permanent - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.

About Kier Mechanical & Electrical (KME)

Kier Mechanical & Electrical (KME) is an internal MEP self-delivery design and build business within the Kier group. We support regional businesses across the UK and Strategic Projects on complex and challenging projects. With full design, construct and commissioning capability, we work across core sectors including Education, Custodial, Commercial, Health & Science.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you'll be working within the project team, supporting them in delivering compliant, safe and efficient mechanical services. Your day to day will include:

  • Ensuring all works are procured, planned and carried out safely in accordance with Kier standards, project requirements and UK law
  • Reviewing designs with design teams and clients to ensure they are optimised for efficient and safe construction, fully compliant with standards and contract requirements
  • Managing robust change control processes and identifying risk and opportunity throughout the project lifecycle
  • Implementing and managing quality control procedures in line with Kier Standards, ensuring successful completion within agreed timescales and cost constraints
  • Providing leadership for project team members within your area of responsibility, setting clear expectations and offering guidance to maximise team performance

This role of Senior Mechanical Engineer is great for you if:

  • You are technically astute in Mechanical Services and Safety
  • You hold CSCS and SMSTS accreditation as a minimum
  • You have experience managing mechanical engineering works packages on construction projects
