About the Role

Key Talent Solutions is working with an established property and construction consultancy seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join its Leeds-based building services team.

You will be responsible for the design, management and successful delivery of mechanical building services projects across a varied portfolio of construction, refurbishment and property improvement schemes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and manage mechanical building services projects from initial brief through to completion
  • Produce budget estimates, drawings, technical specifications and tender documentation
  • Undertake contract administration duties on mechanically led projects
  • Coordinate internal resources and work closely with clients, consultants and project stakeholders
  • Deliver projects in accordance with client requirements, professional standards and agreed fees
  • Support the use of renewable and energy-efficient technologies
  • Complete condition, dilapidation and asset-management surveys where required
  • Promote a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach to project delivery
  • Monitor project performance, commercial viability and programme delivery

What We Are Looking For

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering
  • Previous experience designing and managing mechanical building services projects
  • Experience delivering refurbishment and alteration projects from inception through to final account
  • Strong knowledge of building services contracts and contract administration
  • Previous supervisory or team-management experience
  • CIBSE membership, Chartered status or a willingness to work towards Chartership
  • Engineering Council membership or eligibility
  • Strong communication, project-management and client-facing skills
  • Full UK driving licence due to site travel requirements
  • Current site card or willingness to obtain one
