Senior Mechanical Project Engineer
Location: London
Salary: £70,000 – £90,000 + package

Senior Mechanical Project Engineer – London
We are currently looking for an experienced Senior Mechanical Project Engineer to join the delivery team on a major £20m+ M&E project in London.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Mechanical Project Engineer who is ready to take the next step in their career, working on a high-value project and taking responsibility for the technical coordination and delivery of the mechanical package.
You will work closely with the Project Manager, design team, subcontractors and site teams to ensure the mechanical works are properly coordinated, technically compliant and delivered to programme.
The Role
As Senior Mechanical Project Engineer, you will:
- Support the Project Manager in the delivery of a major £20m+ M&E project
- Take responsibility for the technical delivery and coordination of the mechanical package
- Review and coordinate mechanical drawings, specifications and design information
- Manage technical queries, RFIs and design changes
- Coordinate with the design team, consultants, subcontractors and site management
- Assist with procurement and technical assessment of materials and subcontractors
- Monitor installation against approved drawings, specifications and programme
- Support commissioning, testing and handover activities
- Identify and resolve technical issues throughout the project
- Attend design and coordination meetings
- Ensure mechanical works are delivered in accordance with project requirements, quality standards and H&S procedures
- Provide technical support to engineers and site teams
- Assist the Project Manager with programme, progress and commercial reporting

About You
We are looking for a Mechanical Project Engineer / Senior Mechanical Project Engineer with experience working on large-scale commercial M&E projects.
You will ideally have:
- Proven experience delivering mechanical building services projects
- Experience working on projects valued at £10m+
- Strong knowledge of mechanical building services
- Excellent understanding of drawings, specifications and technical documentation
- Experience coordinating subcontractors and design teams
- Strong understanding of project programmes and construction sequencing
- Good client and consultant communication skills
- The ability to identify and resolve technical issues independently
- Relevant mechanical engineering or building services qualifications
