About The Company
We're supporting EKA Limited, a specialist engineering organisation with over 45 years' experience delivering military vehicle recovery systems, winch installations, chassis integrations and load handling solutions for defence and heavy equipment applications.
Through a deep understanding of operational requirements and engineering excellence, EKA develops robust, innovative solutions for customers operating in demanding environments. Alongside their core vehicle integration capability, the business has expanded into specialist engineering services including reverse engineering, 3D laser scanning and additive manufacturing.
Due to continued growth, EKA is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their collaborative engineering team based in Northamptonshire.
The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and practical Mechanical Engineer to take ownership of innovative engineering projects from concept through to manufacture and in–service support.
Working within a small, highly collaborative engineering team, you will be involved in a broad range of activities including mechanical design, finite element analysis, fabrication design, vehicle integration, manufacturing support and technical problem solving.
The role offers significant ownership and responsibility, making it ideally suited to an engineer who enjoys working across the full product lifecycle and thrives in a fast–paced SME environment.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
