An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join one of the UK's leading independent Building Services consultancies.

Working within an established multidisciplinary team, you'll have the opportunity to lead projects, mentor engineers and play an active role in delivering low-carbon building solutions across the UK.
Role
As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you'll take ownership of mechanical building services design projects from concept through to completion, working closely with clients, architects and fellow engineers.
You'll enjoy a varied workload across multiple sectors while taking an active role in client relationships, technical delivery and project leadership.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Leading the mechanical design of building services projects.
- Managing project delivery from feasibility through to construction.
- Acting as Project Lead on selected commissions.
- Producing and reviewing mechanical calculations, specifications and technical reports.
- Attending design meetings and presenting directly to clients.
- Supporting and mentoring junior engineers.
- Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary design teams.
- Helping develop long-term client relationships and generate repeat business.
- Delivering innovative, sustainable engineering solutions across a wide range of projects.

Ideally You'll Have
- Degree, HNC or HND in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering.
- Around 4+ years' experience within a Building Services consultancy.
- Experience designing mechanical systems across a range of building sectors.
- Working knowledge of UK Building Regulations and relevant British Standards.
- Experience using industry-standard design software including Revit and associated mechanical design packages.
- An understanding of sustainable building design, renewable technologies and low-carbon solutions.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach.
- Working towards, or already holding, Chartered Engineer status through CIBSE or IMechE.
