Job Description

We are seeking a Contract Engineering Lead (CEL) to join us on, providing technical and contractual leadership for the Emergency Diesel Generators (EDG) contract, supporting the successful delivery of one of the UK's most significant nuclear new build programmes.

In this role, you will oversee the technical and contractual performance of the EDG contract, ensuring alignment with the project's replication strategy while managing design, manufacturing, qualification, and configuration activities throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead technical and project meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide technical oversight, issue resolution, and engineering support throughout contract delivery.
  • Ensure design replication principles and operational experience are incorporated into the future projects delivery.
  • Review and approve contractor deliverables, technical documentation, and design submissions.
  • Manage design changes, contract amendments, exemptions, and configuration control activities.
  • Coordinate and lead Technical Engineering Leads (TELs), prioritising work and ensuring delivery against project requirements.
  • Develop resource plans to ensure activities are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Monitor qualification activities to ensure they remain aligned with project schedules and site requirements.
  • Report progress, risks, issues, and KPIs to project leadership.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
