Senior Mechanical Engineer
We’re looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer who is passionate about robotics and wants to help drive the development of our unmanned ground vehicles.
At XRC Robotics, you’ll have the freedom and responsibility to make engineering decisions, bring forward your own ideas and see them through to working hardware. You’ll help shape our platforms and have a direct influence on what we build next.
We’re an ambitious engineering team with access to advanced manufacturing in-house. That close connection between design and manufacturing means you can get parts made, test your thinking and push development forward at pace.
This role will suit someone who takes pride in their engineering, enjoys solving difficult practical problems and wants to stay involved throughout design, build and testing.

What you’ll bring
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or a related discipline, or an equivalent engineering qualification supported by substantial practical experience.
- Relevant industry experience developing robotic platforms, unmanned vehicles, defence vehicle systems or closely related electromechanical systems.
- Strong mechanical design and 3D CAD skills, with a track record of taking designs through manufacture and testing.
- A sound understanding of materials, manufacturing processes and designing reliable mechanical systems.
- The confidence to take technical ownership, make considered decisions and work independently.
- A collaborative approach, with experience working alongside engineers across mechanical, electrical and software disciplines.

This is a full-time, on-site position, working closely with our engineering and manufacturing teams.
