SENIOR MECHANICAL ENGINEER

Oxford (Hybrid)

A rapidly growing deep-tech business is developing cutting-edge products that combine advanced sensing, positioning, and software technologies. Their solutions are helping organisations gain greater visibility and insight into complex environments through innovative hardware and data-driven capabilities. Following continued growth, they are looking to strengthen their engineering team with a Senior Mechanical Engineer who can drive product development and manufacturing excellence.

THE ROLE

  • Lead mechanical design activities across the full product lifecycle, from concept development through to production and deployment
  • Own hardware development processes including product design, integration, prototyping, testing, and validation
  • Manage supply chain, procurement, inventory, and manufacturing operations to support product delivery and scaling
  • Oversee compliance and certification processes for products entering global markets
  • Conduct mechanical analysis and simulation to ensure product performance and reliability
  • Mentor engineers and contribute to the growth of a collaborative multidisciplinary engineering team

YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Strong commercial experience in mechanical product design and development
  • Advanced CAD expertise, ideally with SolidWorks or similar 3D modelling tools
  • Excellent understanding of mechanical engineering principles, hardware integration, and product manufacturing
  • Experience supporting products through prototyping, validation, and production scaling
  • Knowledge of supply chain management, procurement, and manufacturing processes
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and communicate effectively with technical stakeholders
