Your role

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer - NPI (TMS), your mission is to be the lead mechanical resource working in the NPI (New Product Introduction) team. The successful candidate will serve as the mechanical engineering lead for new product development programs focused on advanced thermal management solutions for the semiconductor industry. You will report to Product Commercialization Manager - TMS.

You Will

  • Act as the mechanical engineering lead on NPI projects from concept development through production launch.
  • Own mechanical architecture decisions, ensuring product performance, manufacturability, reliability, serviceability, and cost targets are achieved.
  • Develop innovative mechanical solutions for thermal management products used in demanding semiconductor manufacturing environments.
  • Lead design activities including 3D Modelling, Detailed component & Assembly Design.
  • Apply thermal engineering principles to optimize product performance, efficiency, and reliability.
  • Contribute to thermal modelling, heat transfer analysis, and thermal system optimization.
  • Work closely with internal and external manufacturing teams to ensure successful product industrialization.
  • Partner with electrical, controls, systems, and test engineers to develop integrated product solutions.

Essential

  • Bachelor's Degree (or higher) or equivalent work experience in either Mechanical Engineering, Product Design Engineering, Thermal Engineering or Related Engineering Disciplines.
  • Demonstrated experience leading mechanical design activities on NPI or product development projects.
  • Experience developing products from concept through production release.
  • Experience working within highly regulated or technically demanding industries such as, but not limited to: Semiconductor, Vacuum technology, Process Equipment, Aerospace.
  • Strong GD&T and engineering tolerancing knowledge.
  • Strong proficiency in 3D CAD systems.

Desirable

  • Strong understanding of Heat Transfer, Thermal Dynamics, Thermal System Design.
  • Experience with gas-to-gas heat exchangers.
  • Heat exchanger design and development.

Job location

Hybrid

This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, allowing you to split your time between working remotely and being on-site at our PC Clevedon office in Bristol, United Kingdom (GB).
